About

Why we exist

We know the names of kings from the 1600s. We know almost nothing about how ordinary people actually lived — what they loved, feared, or hoped for.

That's not because ordinary lives mattered less. It's because nothing was ever built to carry them forward. A name and two dates on a stone was the most permanence most people ever got.

Live Long started from a simple question: what if that could change — not for the powerful, but for everyone? What if the technology now exists to let an ordinary life be remembered with the same permanence once reserved for kings?

Every profile, once someone has passed, becomes part of something larger than any one family — a browsable, searchable record of ordinary lives, the kind history has always overlooked. Not a social network. No comments, no messages, no following. Just presence — a place to be found, not performed.

We're building toward that in stages. Today, that means a capsule that's easy to build and safe to keep. Over time, we're working toward something we believe matters even more: a physical, personal archive built on a timescale of generations — not just as long as a company happens to stay in business.

This is early. We're honest about what's real today versus what we're working toward. But we think the goal is worth being ambitious about.

Honesty over promises

We say clearly what's available now versus what we're still building toward.

Dignity, always

This is someone's life and someone's grief. Every design choice starts there.

Built to last

Permanence isn't a marketing word here — it's the actual engineering goal.
